Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, per an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This incident isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical problem.
